What we collect
The details you give us to arrange a ride, and a record of the trip itself.
When you submit a ride request, we collect your name, phone number, email, pickup and dropoff addresses, requested date and time, passenger count, and any notes you add (such as a flight number). When you send a message via the contact form, we collect your name, email, and the message. When you sign up for the launch list, we collect your email and your IP address (kept only briefly, for rate-limit purposes).
When you pay through the site, your card details go directly to Stripe. We never see, store, or transmit your card number. We do store Stripe's charge identifier and the amount so we can match payments to trips.
Why we collect it
To reach you, arrive at the right place on time, and keep accurate trip records.
So your chauffeur can reach you to confirm pricing and pickup, so we show up on time at the right place, and so we have a record of completed trips for receipts and accounting. We do not sell or share your data with marketers.
Who processes it for us
A small set of service providers handle payments, email, and error monitoring.
We use Stripe to process payments, Resend to send confirmations and notifications by email, and Sentry to record technical errors so we can fix problems with the site. Sentry captures diagnostic information about errors and may include limited request details; we configure it to avoid capturing payment card data. Each provider acts on our behalf under its own privacy and security commitments, and we share only what each one needs to do its job.
Trip location stamps
Drivers record pickup and dropoff stamps to run the trip — for our internal use only.
During a trip, your chauffeur's device may record location stamps — for example at pickup and dropoff — so we can run the trip, confirm it was completed, and keep an accurate record. These stamps are for internal operational use. We do not share them with advertisers or sell them, and we do not track your location outside of a booked trip.
Analytics
Aggregate page-view analytics only — no advertising cookies, no ad trackers.
We use website analytics to understand aggregate page views and referrers. The analytics do not set advertising cookies and do not identify you personally. We do not use Facebook's pixel or any other third-party advertising tracker.
Cookies and sessions
Only the cookies needed to run the site and keep admin sign-ins secure.
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function, including a session cookie that keeps staff signed in to the admin area and security cookies that protect forms against abuse. These are not advertising cookies, and we do not use cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Trip records for tax purposes; unconverted requests and messages for less.
Trip records are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and bookkeeping requirements. Ride requests that never convert to a trip are kept for two years, then deleted. Contact-form messages are kept for one year. Launch-list emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Requesting deletion
Email us from the address on file and we remove your records within 30 days.
Email hello@bigfootluxurychauffeuringservice.com from the address on file and we will remove your records within thirty days. Trip records may be retained beyond that point only when tax or insurance law requires it; in that case the record is locked and used only to satisfy those obligations.
Your choices
Request a copy, correction, or deletion of your information at any time.
You have the right to know what information we hold, to request a copy, to request correction, and to request deletion. We honor these requests for everyone. To exercise any of them, email the address above.
